Welcome to Sunrise Rotary Club |
|
Welcome to our Web site. I hope you find the information about our exciting club and its dynamic members helpful. Please contact us if you have any questions about our service or joining our club.
Paula Jero, executive director of Marshfield Area United Way, was installed as President of Marshfield Sunrise Rotary Club on in June for the 2010-2011 Rotary year.
"The opportunity to lead Sunrise Rotary is an honor," Jero said. "Our club has many dedicated volunteers who have found that working together as a club allows us to have greater impact than anyone of us as individuals could do alone."
The theme for this Rotary year is "Building Communities Bridging Continents."
"Sunrise Rotary exemplifies this year's theme through our projects in the greater Marshfield community, as well as international projects," Jero said. "Anyone with an interest in either local or international services is welcome to join us for a meeting to learn more about our club."
The 2010-2011 Board of Directors is as follows:
- President elect: Jerry Cleveland
- Past president: Ted DiStefano
- Secretary: Sara Henrichs

The Rotary Four-Way Test is one of the best known and most widely distributed codes of business and professional conduct. Is it the truth? Is it fair to all concerned? Will it build goodwill and better friendships? Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

Two of our members have made several trips to a remote school in India offering free dental and medical services. Their most recent trip was in March of 2009. Their experiences demonstrate the importance of connecting to the world beyond Marshfield and the United States. |

In order to fulfill our mission of "Service Above Self," Marshfield Sunrise Rotary conducts two major fundraisers each year.
The first is the annual fall Rose Sale. On delivery day, most workplaces in the greater Marshfield area are festooned with bouquets of red roses. Nothing smells sweeter than a Sunrise Rotary Rose! In 2009, Sunrise Rotarians sold 1,350 dozen, raising about $10,000 for service projects around the world and around the corner. This year's rose sale begins Oct. 28. Contact any Sunrise Rotarian to order your dozen(s). Cost is only $15/dozen. Delivery date is Nov. 18.
The second fundraiser is the annual Lend-a-Hand Auction. This is Sunrise Rotary's largest fundraiser. This annual event has become a must-attend event in the Marshfield area. Last year's auction raised $9,000. This year's auction will be held at the Holiday Inn, Marshfield. Check back for more information.
