Vocational Service encourages Rotarians to serve others through their vocations – their jobs – and to practice high ethical standards in all business activities. Our focus is to be an impact based group.
International Avenue
Through PolioPlus, all Rotarians have helped raise more than $650 million and immunized two billion children to eradicate polio worldwide. RI also provides one of the world’s largest youth exchange and scholarship programs in the world. Through this Avenue, our club has hosted several exchange students as well as adult Group Study Exchange (GSE) teams in Marshfield. Sunrise Rotarians have also participated in a GSE trip to Nigeria, Rotary Friendship Exchanges to India and New Zealand, and medical missions to India and El Salvador.
Community Avenue
Sunrise Rotarians are some of the most active citizens in Central Wisconsin. In addition to dozens of community initiatives we support through our fundraising each year, we invest time and resources in city park and greenspace improvement projects around town. We also helped launch and continue to support Rotary Winter Wonderland, a spectacular holiday lights display at Wildwood Park, which collects donations to help feed the hungry in the greater Marshfield area.
Avenues Of Service
Sunrise Rotary projects are organized around four Avenues of Service:Club, Vocational, International and Community. All members are encouraged to get involved in at least one Avenue to learn more about Rotary, contribute to the work of the club, and interact more with a small group of Rotarians with similar interests.
